RUBY’S BUTTON

Ruby knew she was unique and she loved it! For Ruby, everyday is filled with dancing, singing, and her imagination. Ruby’s deepest desire is to be a performer and to be seen by many. When Ruby, sees that she is missing her belly button, for the first time, she is afraid to stand out and be unique. Through the support of her best friend, she is reminded that there’s more to her than her missing button and soon remembers that what made her unique was her love for being herself. Through the eyes of Ruby, differences and originality are celebrated.

RUBY BARRIOS

I am a member of the SCBWI(Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators)and graduated with my Acting BFA from AMDA.

I am currently a Project Manager at Team One and beyond grateful to continue to be a part of the entertainment landscape.

When I am not typing away at my desk, you can find me volunteering at many Los Angeles nonprofit art organizations and children’s hospitals.
